Financial Literacy Lessons in Government & Economics classes on campus – Wednesday December 6th

Counselors will be conducting the Financial Literacy Lessons and helping Seniors complete the Florida Financial Aid Application (includes Bright Futures)

• Students will be given a printed copy of their Bright Futures Eligibility Report
• After Wednesday Dec 6^th Eligibility Reports can be picked up in the College & Career Center – Room 211 (Media Center) for Dual Enrollment students and absent students.
• Presentation will be available below and on the “Senior Meetings” tab for Dual Enrollment students and students who were absent to review. 

Deadlines for the Class of 2024: 

GPA: May 1, 2024
Community Service Hours submitted to your counselor: May 1, 2024
Last Test Dates to send scores to Bright Futures: ACT - July 13th, 2024, or SAT - June 1st, 2024
 

The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program has helped more than 550,000 Florida students attend a post-secondary institution. The program offers three levels of scholarship awards – the Florida Academic Scholars award (FAS), the Florida Medallion Scholars award (FMS), and the Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars award (GSV).

It is the high school student’s job to know and meet the requirements of the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program before high school graduation and throughout your college career. To apply for a Bright Futures Scholarship, you must submit a completed, error free Initial Student Florida Financial Aid Application during your last year in high school (after December 1 and prior to graduation). You must apply during your last year in high school, before graduation, or you will forfeit all future eligibility for a Bright Futures Scholarship. Your school counselor will help you with the application process during your senior year.
