Principal's Message
I want to thank our students, staff, and families for a wonderful first week back! We truly appreciate everyone’s patience, positivity, and support as we get the school year started. Before long—if not already—our students will settle into routines that will help set them up for a strong and successful year.
This week, our counselors will begin processing student schedule change requests submitted through the Google Form, which is due by midnight tonight. Changes will be made based on course and class availability. Students should check their school email regularly for schedule updates.
If your student needs to move up in academic rigor, please have them visit their school counselor during lunch. Our goal is to have all schedule changes completed by the end of this week.
Our goal is for every student to leave Lake Nona High School as a proud Lion graduate—prepared and inspired for a successful future—while also enjoying a meaningful and memorable high school experience. One of the best ways to make that happen is to get involved, participate, and build connections within our school community.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our evening Hype Pep Rally and to those who came out for our first Friday Night Under the Lights! It was great seeing our Lion community together.
This week, I challenge every student to attend an event or participate in an activity.
Parents and guardians can help us start the year strong by encouraging students to participate and stay connected. We also ask families to regularly check Skyward for grades and attendance and Canvas for assignments and work that needs to be completed.
Finally, please help your student establish a strong academic routine by setting aside at least 30 minutes each evening to strengthen reading and/or math skills. Small, consistent habits now can make a tremendous difference throughout the year.
We are excited about the year ahead and all that our Lions will accomplish.
Let's make 2026–2027 a year of LEGACY IN ACTION!
With PRIDE,
Mrs. Nikki Campbell
Principal, Lake Nona High School
