School Advisory Council

Community members, business leaders, parents and teachers work together to develop a School Improvement Plan. The School Advisory Council (SAC) will meet monthly to assess our students' academic needs and evaluate the progress of Lake Nona High School. As part of our commitment to excellence, this is done to ensure that every student will continue to receive a quality education. We encourage and welcome your input.

12/9/24 at 2:30PM in the Conference room or Media Center if larger space is needed. 

Voting Updates:

The SAC Subcommittee and/or Principal will advertise the final ballot to the entire staff at least 3 days prior to scheduled voting.  Voting will take place by confidential ballot.  It will be the responsibility of the SAC Subcommittee and/or Principal to designate the date and time of the vote and to oversee the voting process to ensure voting is open to all staff members.  The Principal will abstain from voting regarding the allocation of the School Recognition Program funds. 

Voting Details:

  • Primary Voting: Wednesday, December 18th, in the Cafeteria during the holiday luncheon (voting between 1:25PM and 2:15PM).
  • Early Voting: Monday, December 16th (from 12:00PM to 2:45PM), and Tuesday, December 17th (from 8AM to 2:45PM). Early voting will take place in Samantha Duran’s office.
  • Tallying:  Tallying of the final vote will be completed in an open forum by the SAC Subcommittee and/or Principal, along with a CTA representative and an OESPA representative. 
    • Tallying will occur on Wednesday, December 18th in the Cafeteria following the conclusion of the holiday luncheon and voting process (2:30PM).  
  • Please remember to bring your school ID with you to vote.
