Sound Of The Lions

Welcome to the Sound of the Lions!

If you are new to the Sound of the Lions family and are not yet a part of Charms, our main form of communication to you, please fill out this link:

The Sound of the Lions consists of more than 200 performers that are all involved in one of the band classes, percussion class, or color guard class. We rehearse twice a week and perform at football games, pep rallies, state wide performances, and at other venues in our Lake Nona community! This ensemble serves to give more performing opportunities to all band students while also building a stronger sense of school pride and family.

To participate in the Sound of the Lions, a student must be enrolled in at least one of these classes: percussion ensemble, concert band, symphonic band, wind ensemble, Jazz Band A, Jazz Band B, or Eurhythmics (color guard). Furthermore, the performer will have to be present at every after school rehearsal and maintain their consistent attendance of all classes during the school day to keep their status as a part of the Sound of the Lions.

Our staff for the Sound of the Lions consists of:

Michael Weintraub, Band Director

Benjamin Cendan, Associate Band Director

Tom Provino, Staff Instructor

Kyle Foley, Percussion Staff

Paige Madden, Percussion Staff

Chris Haubenestel, Color Guard Staff

Spencer Collins, Color Guard Staff

Lynette Starkey, Majorette Staff
