It is important that parents take an active part in the course selection process by understanding the academic graduation requirements. To make informed decisions, parents and students should read through this guide together.

Students will find many choices that will lead to paths of opportunity beyond high school. Whether your plan is to go to college or enter the workforce upon completion of high school, you will find pathways within this guide that will support you in meeting your goals. For those students who plan on attending college, the Collegiate Academy, through a balanced combination of Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses, will allow you to earn up to 60 college credits and an Associate in Arts degree during your time at Lake Nona High School. For students interested in working in the medical field, the Health Academy will provide students the opportunity to earn certification in several areas within the medical field that will allow graduates to work in high wage/high skilled jobs directly after high school. The Digital Media Academy is geared toward students interested in careers in IT, graphic design, animation or TV Production and also provides opportunities for students to earn various industry certifications. In addition, we offer many enriching elective courses.

Our Student Services department will assist you and answer any questions you may have. Challenge yourself with your course load, take classes that are aligned with your long-term goals, and stay focused on academics. Go Lions!
