Sunday Update: 10/26/2025

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

What an incredible week it’s been at Lake Nona! From classroom achievements to athletic victories, our students and staff continue to shine and make us proud.

Please take a moment to log into your Skyward Parent Account to review your student’s Quarter 1 Report Card and attendance. If any action steps are needed, we encourage you to partner with us in supporting your student’s journey to becoming a Lion Graduate. Your involvement makes all the difference!

Let’s give a huge shout out to our Lake Nona Lions Football Team for another big win Friday night! The energy, teamwork, and school spirit were unmatched. Let’s Go Lions!

Be sure to follow and like our main social media accounts. Why? Because every like and share helps spread the word about the amazing students, staff, and community we have here at Lake Nona. Plus, most of our events are open to the community, so the more the merrier! With that our annual STEAM Night event is coming soon, please see the flyer in our email.

We’re looking forward to another amazing week ahead as we continue to leave our Legacy. I encourage all of our students and staff to participate in our activities for Red Ribbon Week- as we want to support in the prevention of drug use. Thank you again for being such an important part of our Lion family!

I hope everyone has a great rest of their evening and as always, GO LIONS!

With PRIDE,

Mrs. Nikki Campbell
Principal, Lake Nona High School

Student Parking Reminder

Students parking on campus must have a valid school parking decal. Those found parking without a decal will be referred to Discipline. If your student needs a decal, please contact Lisa Wilcox at Lisa.Wilcox@ocps.net

Additionally, once students arrive and park their vehicles, they are expected to report directly into school. Students should not remain in their vehicles or loiter in the parking lot.

If you have any questions, please reach out to:

Safety Reminder

Please be alert and aware when driving —especially along Narcoossee Road, which continues to experience extremely heavy congestion. Unfortunately, we’ve already seen multiple accidents this school year involving both adults and teenagers.

It takes all of us—drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, and families—to keep our community safe. Please help us by practicing and reinforcing safe habits:

  • Put cellphones down while driving
  • Follow the speed limit and take extra caution near the school and all crosswalks
  • Limit distractions and stay alert
  • Use your turn signals so other drivers can anticipate your movements

Drop-Off Reminder: If you are dropping off your student, please use the Tyson Road light entrance if you are heading North on Narcoossee and making a Left. Making a left at the main entrance is reserved for visitors, substitutes, and staff only. If you are traveling south on Narcoosee, please enter near the security booth then move to the right lane as quickly and safely as possible. Please follow the directions of all of the staff in the parking lot.

Student Safety on Foot, Bike, or Scooter: If your student walks, bikes, or uses a motorized scooter:

  • Remind them to look both ways before crossing
  • Encourage responsible behavior and awareness of surroundings
  • If they are 16 or younger, they must wear a helmet when riding any type of bike or scooter

Please remember: once students leave campus, the school has no jurisdiction. It truly takes parents and our community working together to teach and model safe behavior.

  • Xello is the college and career platform that OCPS will continue to use grades K-12. All schools will implement Xello lessons this school year. At LNHS we will do this through their ELA classes.

  • Please remind your student to use the designated crosswalks when arriving and leaving campus, as the school cannot monitor student behavior off school grounds.
  • Students must have a student parking permit to park on campus. Please visit our school website to apply and purchase.
